Saw a couple interesting things walking through the city with my girlfriend today.

First was a 'Shelby GT350' Mustang. I suspect, like most, that this was fake. EDIT: the consensus seems to be that it's real. That being said, I don't know much about these cars, and pretty much anything is possible in Paris. Anybody know if this is legit?

And second, a shark nose BMW. It had an M badge on the grill, but was debadged in the back with an M steering wheel and a manual.

I could be wrong but I don't think they made convertible GT350. That or they're not very common.

EDIT: way wrong. Looks legit.

The BMW is a E24 6 series. If it´s indeed a real M version then it should be the M 635 CSI, a rare pretty beast. If I remember correctly these were powered by the same M88 block found in the legendary M1. This assuming it´s an original european car, the vintage french license plate from paris (75) seems to confirm that. The US version got another (weaker) engine.

Its got quite the pedigree. So nice find !!

The GT350 is a pretty damn good clone if it's fake. I think it's actually real.

That GT350 looks like a real one, as far as I know. I'm no expert, but just basing it off the real one's I've seen, that thing looks legit.

We were walking through a pretty nice area so I wouldn't be surprised if it was real. If only my girlfriend didn't think it was ugly haha

Yep, seen on the streets of Paris. Solid logic about the importing though. Awesome!

The guy who appears to be parked inches away from the Mustang.

Ohhh haha. I guess 4 months of living in Paris has made me mentally filter obscenely terrible parking jobs. Definitely a risk driving this car in a big city. I can't count how many times I've seen people literally wedge themselves between two cars to get a parking spot.

I think you're right, since it has the same Lithuania H68003 license plate.

(The LT in the bottom left stands for Lithuania. I looked it up .)

Yep, and a '68 Shelby would be an odd one to fake. IIRC only about 400 convertibles, so super rare
